One hazards of the Chef Boy-r-dee recipe-turns out meatballs will explode in the microwave if you heat them too long!

I wrapped some Hebrew national reduced fat franks in Pillsbury Croussaint dough last night (saw the recipe in an ad). Cooked them for 12 minutes at 375 and they came out pretty darned good!

I remember my friend making those when we were in highschool...you can also wrap a piece of cheese around the little doggy before wrapping it in the crescent.

These are similar, but bigger. That cheese sounds like a good idea!

One spunky, doomed live lobster
butter
fresh lemon juice

Ice lobster down while boiling a large pot of water
Melt butter and add a bit of fresh lemon juice
Plunge sleepy, cold lobster into pot of hellishly hot water
Watch lobster turn red and when it does, remove it & plate it
Dig in!

I was thinking about Larry when I went to bed last night. Then I started dreaming about the movie "Attack of the Crab Monsters". I got a feeling that next time I go swimming in the ocean, bad things are gonna happen!

Quick and Healthy morning pick me up:
1 12 oz. glass
1 shot Grand Marnier (and not Triple Sec!)
2 shots Green Chartreuse Liqueur (it must be the Green or the Elixir variety-no substituting the Yellow)
Fill the rest of the glass with Champagne (again, the real stuff and not the sparkling wine from Napa or New York)
Chill and Chill!

Quick potatoes
Slice enough peeled potatoes and onions to fill a 5x7x4 covered corningware casserole dish 1/2" from the top. Layer potatoes and onions. Place about a tablespoon of fake butter and tablespoon nonfat sourcream on top. Bake at 300 for about an hour. Serves two or three. Options: toss some julienned serano chiles and finely diced garlic on top, maybe some cheddar cheese, too.

I have to admit, KFC has the best coleslaw than any other resturant for fast food place. I usually skip the coleslaw when I eat out anywhere...I like to make my own...but, KFC is really good!

If we had a KFC nearby, I'd probably use them to take a break from making dinner now and again. I think there's one on the way back from my Mother-in laws nursing home. Maybe we'll stop in and grab a bucket and some slaw on our way back from the weekly visit!

I found a pretty good place for quick soups. http://www.coyotecountry.com

We especially like their spicy tortilla soup. We add chicken or hamburger to it and it makes a filling, but not terribly high calorie, meal.

Popcorn.
Drizzle with stirred mixture of melted butter (real) and chocolate syrup
Sprinkle with finely shredded coconut

Probably unhealthy and that's why it tastes great!

Here's an easy quickie:
Take a small amount of whipping cream with a squirt or two of chocolate syrup in it.
Whip it up nice and fluffy.
Add about 2 cups of fresh, quartered strawberries (they're in season now that it's April)
Coat the berries and stick the bowl in the fridge for about an hour
and there you have a quick dessert!
