I took Departing, Oxbow & Orb. My wife took Orb, Goldencents & Itsmy luckyday. Departing didn't arrive, Oxbow DID & Orb no longer shined. Goldencents went for pennies and Itwasn'thisluckyday. But at least the track was dry and all the horses made the race safe and sound!

The Naval Academy Glee Club sang a nice rendition of My Maryland (sounded an awful lot like Oh, Tannenbaum, though). I'm hoping the Belmont doesn't use a screeching teenager like it did (1 or 2 years ago?) for 'New York, New York' !

Yeah, I don't like the Maryland song. I told my Dad it was 'Oh Christmas Tree' and I just can't get past that.

No triple crown winner this year. I guess they are waiting for me to win the Lottery so I can buy myself a racehorse, name it 'DebtorBasher' and win the crown.

I've got a cousin in Maryland who assures me a lot of maryland folks don't like the state song, either. It's like you say, "Oh, Christmas Tree" (or Tannenbaum, in German), is for Christmas! Looks like we'll have to wait for the big payout on the lottery. Someone in Florida snagged it. But, what the heck, for a buck or two, I'll try again!

The winning ticket was sold just outside of Tampa...hmmmm...I DO believe our Ejack buys his monthly gross of toilet paper from Publix!!!

What do you suppose he'd do with a lump sum payment of around (guessing) 250 mil?

Maybe a 'Super Duper Pooper Flusher'.

Maybe an all you can eat chili restaurant, too!

I was going to put my picks here, but I got tied up with a phone call and then we had to leave for a party at a place called 'Bar Louie's". I chose American Pharoah, Bodhisattva and Tale of Verve. I guess from what people said American Pharoah took it and Verve actually came in second? When we went to Sing Sing Piano Bar, I tried asking again, but everyone was slightly out of it, so I never got a straight answer!

Time to get your bets in for the 2016 Preakness today!!!

I always like seeing the Kentucky derby horse win the Preakness...
But, I'm gonna go with Abiding Star. They have some good longshots, but the odds change a lot by post time.

That was my thought too! So, how much did ya bet? How much did you win? How much are you gonna share with me?

My wife didn't want me to go to the neighbor's to drink beer with him. So I said that if I win, I get to go. She wins and I stay home and watch some romantic movie on "Lifetime". I won. I can't share the beer with you because we drank it all! We did get our wives flowers, though. The old lady up the road had some really nice roses, so we picked a "few" and gave them to our wives. I think the old lady is in the hosipital, so she probably won't miss them...and we watered her rose bushes for her!

Wait...if she wins, you stay home with her...??? So, you are her winning prize? Did she think that through? LOL! I think she meant, if YOU win you get to stay home with her.

Truth be told, I didn't stay at the neighbor's that long. I felt guilty about chugging beer and leaving her on the couch watching that chick flick. When I got home, she just said, "I thought you'd be gone longer. Now that you're here, make me some popcorn."
