I can never out why she couldn't just stop reading the comments, and post only in places that she could restrict just to family and friends like facebook, twitter etc.

I've never followed this gal, but after reading the article maybe she's right about getting out of the sport/profession. There's always going to be nasty people commenting on professional athletes, the pressure is always going to be there and if it's affecting your health, then (to my way of thinking) it's time to find something else. It won't pay as much, but at least it wouldn't make you sick. She probably should stick to social media that she has more control over. For better or worse, the reality is that social media isn't always nice and never will be.

This comment isn't aimed at the tennis player, because I haven't heard the entire story,but... In general, the term 'Bullying' is way overused. You've got schoolkids crying 'Bullying' as soon as someone looks at them crosseyed. It's something that has happened to everyone throughout the ages, but now it's been labeled so everyone is jumping on that bandwagon. I'm not saying that bullying doesn't exist...it does...but Geesh-O-Man, everytime I watch the news or some so called, 'Reality show' someone is crying about being bullied. People need a backbone because we have a generation that will soon be running this country and it's going to be a bunch of sniveling nose, whiny babies.

Oh wait, is calling someone a sniveling nose, whiny baby considered bullying?

The news media. DB, the news people are just trying to be helpful and caring. They are such trustworthy souls and soooo concerned about everyone around them.

Amen Basher! Whatever happened to teaching your kids a little character, and ignoring the name calling. I'm also sick of hearing about kids committing suicide. Grow a darn backbone for crying out loud! If we all offed ourselves as kids every time someone called us names, pushed us around, etc...half of society wouldn't exist. Now, "They" want parents to turn in all of their kid's SQUIRT guns and plastic toy swords and exchange them for 'more appropriate' toys for kids! And it was also on the news that 'They' want to ban pizza joints from selling 2liters of Coke because it's too much sugar for kids! But, I guess giving them pizza loaded with double cheese, sausage, pepperoni and everything else is good for them. Or, how about a taco pizza for them???

I said Taco Pizza...East Of Chicago had the bestest, but they closed down around here
I tried Godmother's Taco Pizza about two weeks ago...Man-O-Man, that thing cost me $17.00...I must have been out of my mind!

Tacos, pizza, taco pizza...Now that sounds like some good stuff for breakfast! If I lose a few years because I didn't eat tofu & grass sprouts all my life, I don't care. I'll still be happier than the yum-yums when i die!

and corn on the cob

Corn on the cob makes me think of barbeque and potato salad...

I was watching a cook show and the woman used a rubber band around the corncob and slide it up and down to remove all the silk strings. I'mma gonna try that.

Lemme know if it works! I'd worry about getting a rubber taste from that...
