Mrs, Alain thanks you! The cake she got from me was much smaller. We all (her sister celebrated with us) practiced a little moderation and just took our time eating smaller slices! Didn't even bother with the Champagne, so I guess we'll save that for Valentine's Day!

The day after her birthday and her car breaks down. The good news: It did it in the garage, so after she called off work and we got it towed to be fixed, I sat her down for a brunch and cooked us up a couple of steaks with fries. Then we stretched out for a leisurely session of reading and napping until the car got fixed! May as well make the best of a day that started kind of rough!

Aside from her car breaking down, it has been a pretty good week! I decided not to get her candy (too much chocolate lately for both of us), but I got her some nice flowers and I'll probably cook her something special for dinner tonight.
