Now if they could win this the following year, that might be considered a dynasty.

I think Villinova is around Philly. NCAA Division 1 basketball champs (male) this year. Good school from what I've heard.

The female champs are the U. of Connecticut Huskies. That's a dynasty! Besides, I like Huskies!

I don't mind basketball at the college level. At least it allows smaller schools to compete and sometimes beat the Mega-Universities. I don't watch it much on the tube, but I look at the scores in the paper.

In the paper? You still read the newspaper? I actually miss reading a newspaper, but ours is pretty much down to just a couple of pages and not like it used to be. Even our Sunday newspaper is pretty much down to nothing.

I still like a morning newspaper (comics get read first) and a cup of coffee. I was brought up on The Washington Post and Colombian coffee. Our paper is still pretty good, but smaller. Does Cleveland still have The Plain Dealer?

Yes, we still have the Plain Dealer...but like I said, it's so much smaller now than it used to be. They don't even provide us with a 'TV Guide' like they used to .... unless you get home delivery (The last I heard) and home delivery isn't worth it when you can get the paper cheaper from a newspaper machine...minus the Sunday TV Guide. They are always at Drug Mart 'giving' away free newspapers to get you to sign up for home delivery. We can thank the Internet for the down fall of printed Newspapers.

That's true. My nieces and nephews get all their news on their computers. I'm just old fashioned about it. To me, a computer is a tool, not an all knowing God.

The Internet took away our sets of Encyclopedias too! Every house used to have a set of them and I used to love to look through them.

I grew up with encyclopedias. I not only enjoyed them, but you needed them for school assigments. Now the students depend on the Internet. The problem with the 'Net is that a good deal of information on it is inaccurate.

Kids will never learn how to 'look things up' in a book because they depend on using keywords and have the information delivered to their fingertips. I remember we had to READ chapters then go back and find answers to questions based on what we read...now...all you have to do is Google it. The information will never 'stick' in their heads that way.

I think you are right. To put it into modern terms, the information never gets put on their hard drives!

It will be kind of funny to see what the kids of today think about the kids of tomorrow!

Copy and paste was Lidman's specialty.

Everything Liddy knew about spelling...he learned from reading graffiti under bridges.
