All Right! I am a Hawkeyes fan! Iowa City rules! U of I Rules!
(In matter of explanation, I used to hang out quite a bit with University of Iowa players and friends back in the 70's. Good bunch and lots of fun. Rather large, too! And the gals were....never mind!)

I always liked the Iowa folks. You're right, Hydekelso, they are a pretty laid back group. I know they aren't the same people as in the 70's, DB, we had to grow up and be productive so we could pay off our college loans!

I think Maryland's Chevy Chase was there before the actor Chevy. Come to think of it, where'd they get an oddball name like Chevy chase anyway?

According to Wiki, the name has something to do with a 1700's Scottish ballad and a French word and a bunch of stuff that eventually had something to do with a Maryland village in 1918 and some other junk that....who the heck finds this type of thing out anyway?!

I hope so!! I'm rooting for ANYBODY that beats Ohio State. Haven't liked that team since the days of Woody Hayes.

Of course I do! They don't always win, but since I sometimes favour a team simply because I like their mascot or something odd like that, it really doesn't matter! For example, I root for the Banana Slugs just because I think it's kinda fun to have a slug for a mascot.

Their football team may not be the best, but the surfing in Santa Cruz in the winter can be pretty awesome! If you know how to surf, that is. Put a slug on a surfboard and it'll take that 20 foot wave all the way in to the Santa Cruz amusement park on the beach!

Those bogie boards are cool! I wish I'd had one of those. The good thing about being young is that you can beat the heck out of yourself and feel better by the next day!
