Came back to Iowa

After about six weeks in Oregon, and being homesick, I decided to comeback to Iowa for a while.

Back to Iowa City? It is a nice place. I used to spend some spare time lounging around the Palisades Park or Lake McBride with my miscreant pals a six-pack or three on summer days years ago.

But...no place can compare to Basherville!

Well in August I am traveling to NJ and NY. Perhaps I will pass Basherville on the way. And maybe run into pirate in Indiana.

What's Pirate doing in Indiana? Where will he park his ship?

According to superbowl /oldtime, pirate resides in Indiana.

Maybe he traded his ship for a corn combine or a praire schooner?

I found a place out in Lincoln City Oregon. Will be moving in in late November. It's about 2200 miles from Basherville.

I had to look that up. Beautiful area! Nice coast, too. What will you be doing there?

Probably driving a cab.

Nice area to drive in and not much snow, I'm told.

That looks like a very nice area, Hydekelso! The beach is really nice, but the surf, I hear, is really rough. The water is cold, too. I'm guessing the place is pretty laid back? Nice place like that, why would you get stressed out? Sit back, admire the beach, and just ignore the crazy junk that goes on these days...

So I've been driving the cab for a couple of weeks now. The money is pretty good. I work mostly nights. The drunks tip very well.

A smart drunk will tip well! It's worth it. It's much better to wake up at home, even with a terrible hangover, than is to wake up in a hospital or jail cell!
