Sauerkraut is for my Corned Beef tomorrow.

I'm having left over chili with sauerkraut, some pork bits and cheese this morning. Should be an interesting combination!

I'm doing toast and oatmeal this morning. Boring, but healthy.

I'm starving and my cupboards are like Old Mother Hubbard's...my fridge is about empty...I guess I'll have to go grocery shopping today and stack the shelves again. People aren't supposed to grocery shop while hungry...but, I have to shop first so I won't be hungry...Man-O-Man. Maybe I can raid Alain's cooler in his tree when he's not looking.

....Nope, nothing in his cooler but a bunch of beer...

Oh well...off to the store.

I'm supposed to have food with the beer? Shoot, guess I'll have to go out and get some chips!

I ate sensible braekfasts, lunches and dinners for the last week. Even that TV huckster & snake oil salesman, Dr. Spaz, on TV would be impressed. Lost 1 1/2 lbs. So today we're going out to lunch and I'm getting a 12 oz. rare ribeye and maybe an order of scallops to go with it. It may be my only meal of the day, but by god I'm gonna love it!

Scallops? Ewwwww...their poopshoot is right next to their eyeballs!

Which is why scallops, unlike intoxicated males, never miss the toilet!

But, if their aim is like many men...they will pee in their eye!!!

Ya know, I suppose that is possible!

Today...round steak WITH the bone and mashed potatoes and gravy.
YES...FINALLY! I have searched high and low...left and right...inside and out for a round steak with the bone. I remembered my Mom used to make it for us all the time but I never, ever see it in the stores anymore.

Where did I get it? My Slightly Older Sister brought it all the way from PA for me! She know's a butcher that raises his own cows and well...you know...next thing you know, it's steak for everyone! Gotta tell ya, this steak had the flavor you never find in store bought meats. She brought us some ground beef and I have another round steak in the freezer. Man-O-Man, that was one tasty steak. You can even tell the difference when it was cooking...you can actually SMELL it cooking throughout the house. I told my Dad before, that I can never really smell meat when it's cooking anymore...if I had the freezer space, I'd have my Slightly Older Sister bring me a side of beef the next time she visits.

I think Alain was able to smell it all the way up the tree.

My Dad and I are happy little campers today...with visions of Lucy locked in that big old walk in freezer!

Oh, yeah, I CAN smell it! You're right-the farm beef is so much better than anything a store has! The trouble is, when you get steaks like that, everything else tastes bland!!

Today, it's BBQ Pork Chops and Mac and Cheese...JKT would be so proud of my oven baked, BBQ Basher Chops!

Today starts a new diet. I'm going to give tofu italian sausage for lunch. It's just wierd enough to maybe be good. If not, the neighbor has 3 dogs and a 6 year old son. I'll toss it over the fence and one of them will eat it! My bet is on the boy getting it. He's faster than the dogs!

I need to read faster in the mornings...when I read, "It's just weird enough to maybe be good. If not, the neighbor has 3 dogs and a 6 year old son." I thought you were planning to eat them.

I'm making fried chicken tenders and mac and cheese today.

The tofu stuff is edible, but you are better off with chicken tenders & mac'n' cheese! I never thought about eating the dogs (I'm pretty sure they'd object if I tried to munch the child!) The old one would be tough, but the big mutt is pretty young...naw, they'd probably miss him, too. I di toss a bit of tofu sausage over the fence. The dogs & youngster didn't get it. It went into the pool. My neighbor will probably think it's a tur...you know...
There was a bunch of kids in the pool yesterday. He'll blame it on them!

Poor guy will be out there draining and cleaning his pool when all he had to do was pick it out and eat it.

All is well! The big, dumb dog (who barks at house flies and walks into walls) fell into the pool trying to get the tofu. He ate it and then remembered just in time how to swim. Now that the evidence is gone, they'll never suspect that I'm the one that caused all the commotion!
