Go Hawkeyes!!!!

I used to watch Hockey when we live in Buffalo. It's a big thing there. But, I haven't watched any games since then. I'd rather watch Hockey than Basketball. In fact, I'd rather watch rust grow on a car than to watch Basketball.

I watch basketball when I'm having trouble sleeping. It has to be on mute, though, so I don't hear the squeak of the shoes.

Yeah, that squeaking is a bit much...Mute it then close your eyes so you don't have to watch them
mop all the sweat off the floor.

The basketball players are paid so much these days that when they retire, they buy the team.

Recently the Red Sox signed this pitcher for seven years (217 million $$). And everyone was outraged when Dave Winfield signed a 10 year deal with Yankees back in 1981 for 24mil. Even factoring inflation the 24mil doesn't even come close. Or how about Reggie Jackson 3mil for five years with the yanks back in 77.

And that doesn't even include the extra $$$ they get for advertising and promotional fees. The price of pro athletes has increased logrithmically.

The price of an Iowa footabll player just went down.
