And Justify is the winner. I wonder if the horse was named after Justice-4-all.

I splurged on the Derby but betting more than I should...but hey, it was the KENTUCKY DERBY! I got a $23.90 return, but spent more than I got back. But..it was a fun muddy day anyway.

They should have named a horse, "Dr Jeecheroo".

If I bet on him, no. Seriously, I think he's got a good chance. The Belmont is the longest course, though, and if some of the other horses had a bit more time, they might have caught him. Or faded. Beats me. I'm no good at horse racing!

A note on the 2019 Kentucky Derby (since it really doesn't deserve to be a new topic).
Maximum Security should have been left with the win, but the stewards decided they wanted to pick the winner. This years Triple Crown will be best 2 out of 3. Louisville is contemplating a new race at Churchill Downs where the holders of Maximum Security betting tickets get to chase the stewards around the track until they are captured and thrown in a pile of fresh horse manure.

I played the #20 horse to win and place. And I played #7 and #20 as an Exacta.
Sooooooo....When they put the #20 horse up from Place to Win, I collected $189.00.
If they would have left the race as it finished, I would have collected the 7 and 20 Exacta.

Not only that, but last weekend...I 'invested' in the ponies in Australia and got $400.00
to add to my bank account...I started out with only $13.00.

We were close in the 2017 Kentucky Derby when Patch...the one eyed horse ran for the roses.

Boy, you sure know derby history. I doubt too many people know that one. Should be a Jeopardy question!

One of the horses lost it's jockey and still ran the full race. I think all horse races should run without jockeys...no whipping the horses...let the horse fight it out to the finish.

Here's a question. Why is the plural of Jockey spelled Jockeys and not Jockies?
