What's for Lunch

Ok, I give up....what kind of monkey is that?

A Red Zanzibar Colobus, I think. They hang around Africa and are, unfortunately, endangered. Heck, most of the African continent is endangered one way or another!

Today, I made BBQ Ribs...in my oven! And a roast in my crockpot. But, the ribs are for tomorrow and the roast is for another day. Now, What's for lunch today?

Sounds like a carnivore's dream! Meat, it's what's for dinner! Or any other proper meal, as well! Whatever you make for lunch, invite me in-I do dishes!

Well, the bones fell right off the ribs...so, we had boneless BBQ ribs. Not as much fun, but just as tasty!

You just gave me a great idea! Today is shopping day and they have ribs on sale. Maybe it'll even be warm enough to grill them outside!

Yay! The last day of no meat on Friday. Today I'm preping the ham for Sunday and tonight we dye Easter Eggs. And maybe put some polka dots on the cat if he makes the mistake of getting curious about the dyeing operation.

I just have to finish picking up a few odds and ends at the store today, then I'll start my prepping tomorrow.

It looks like it's going to be an excellent day for Easter egg hunts!

We went to PF Changs yesterday for lunch. Not a bad chow! And not too expensive for the lunch menu. As an added plus, I didn't have to cook dinner since we had plenty of leftovers!

We just got our new Air Conditioner / Dehumidifier yesterday...so now I can actually light the oven and cook some real food...Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, gravy and green peas on the menu for tomorrow!

That's good news! You'll be one heck of a lot more comfortable now!

Yes, it sure makes a big difference! We got the portable AC that has only the exhaust hose that goes out the window instead of the AC that has to be installed in the window. We run the AC for about an hour, then we can shut it off and the place stays comfortably cool for 3-4 hours (with our windows closed).  When we had the window AC, we had to run it all day because as soon as we would shut it off, it would get too hot again. So, this is pretty nice.

From what I've heard, the newer portable AC's seem to be more effecient than a lot of the window units. Saves a heck of a lot on the electrical bill when you don't have to run it all the time!

What's for Lunch? Well, it turns out that to day is, 'National Junk Food' day...sooooooo...anything goes!

Now there's a day I can support! I think I'll start with some Twinkies, cheesecake, Boston Cream pie (still on sale at the local bakery today!) and some soft serve ice cream!

Churros and dintymoore stew are delicious.
