cauliflower goes well with that broccoli - but blanch them first and every around you will be happy to enjoy.....and you will be happy to enjoy them too

I have great memories of parties that had a dip made from Knorr vegetable soup and sour cream (?) that used to disappear before the hummus.

gotta go do lunch - probably great salad with chicken .....or popcorn.

blu cheese popcorn - I wish

I love califlower and broccoli! Blanching them first sounds like a good idea. Sometimes when it's raw it's a little too crunchy. ANYTHING with Bleu cheese or Stilton is excellent in my book! My wife and some of my friends prefer something that's less strong, but everyone seems to get along with cheddar and Swiss. I wonder if humus would go well with a small amount of grated Parmesean or if that would be too strong?

Quick pepper dip
Scrape seeds out of no less than 6 serrano chiles and finely mince
fold thoroughly into 8 oz. soft cream cheese
place in fridge for at least 2 hours prior to serving (4 hours allows for better melding of flavours)
option: add bacon bits for extra crunch & pork benefits

Speaking of seeds...I stuck a seed in my plant (The one I was going to plant grass seed in, but didn't)...and now it's growing and I can't remember what kind of seed it was that I planted...I guess I'll just have to wait and be surprised.

As long as it doesn't have 5 or 7 oblong serated leaves, you should be good to go whatever it may be.

Whatever it turns out to be, you may have some...it's about a 4 inch stem right now.

If you get enough rain it could grow pretty fast. It is fun to watch garden stuff grow, especially when you don't recognize the leaves....ahem ...me...ahem

Thing is...I didn't plant it outside, I planted it in the dirt with my potted plant...(I said potted plant, not planted pot)...it should REALLY get interesting, especially if it IS a watermelon...LOL!

If it is a watermelon, you're going to need some vodka to put in it when it ripens!

Here's a quickie for party fun:
1 can rattlesnake, drained and picked for bones
Ritz crackers
Just use a tiny fork to put a little snake on the Ritz and you're good to go! You can add a bit of mayo to make it spreadable. Just mix it in well like you would tuna.
