Hockey is Back

I'm gonna go with the Hawks in the west and the Pens in the east.

that was great game last night between the blackhawks and redwings. it's a good thing they won it in OT, because it gets the refs off the hook for that lousy call, disallowing the goal with under 2mins remaining.

I always think of Cherpep when I hear 'Redwings'....

If Detroit had won that game, I don't think that ref would have made it out of the areana, Hydekelso! The matchup between Quick and Crawford in the Hawks vs. Kings series ought to be a good one!

Cherpep's probably still around someplace! I'm guessing rooting for the Tigers, now that the Redwings are done for the season....

Western Conference game one: Blackhawks 2, Kings 1
Eastern Conference game one: Bruins 3, Penguins 0

Nope...nothing from Churro yet.

Game two western conference: Blackhawks 4, Kings 2. Chicago takes 2-0 lead in best of seven series.

Tampa Bay 11, Cleveland 3 (ouch!), but Baltimore 4-Detroit 2 so Cleveland is only 1/2 game out of first still.

It's good sportsmanship to ALLOW the other team to win every now and then.

But ONLY now and again!

Penguins are being good sports to the Bruins after being shellacked 6-1 last night. Boston leads series 2-0.

Does that mean Spittsburg is out of it???

Dang it! I was hoping they were out of it!

Not by a long shot, DB (it's a best of seven series and teams have been known to comeback from a 2-0 or even a 3-0 deficit). However, the game is being played in Boston tonight so it's bound to be lively!

It was lively. The Pens played a good game, but in the end it was Bruins 2, Pittsburgh 1. Boston leads series 3-0 and the Penguins would need 4 in a row to win the series.

I just want to see the Penguins lose, so I can see my Nephew's wife get knocked off her high horse.

Blackhawks take Kings 3-2 and a 3-1 series lead. Fortunately for me, if the Pens lose I'll simply switch my allegiance to the Hawks. Unlike like your nephew's wife, I'm only a fair-weather fan so I don't get too upset if the home team loses. Heck, we can't even afford the seats at the new arena anyway (even if we could find parking for less than $25!)

Boston sweeps Pittsburgh 4-0 with a game four final of 1-0 Bruins. Of the past 4 Stanley Cup winners playing for the 2013 cup (Pittsburgh, Boston, Chicago & LA), The Penguins are the first to exit this year. Oh well, time to break out the Pirate tee-shirts!

And, some of them have expiring contracts.
Not so good for negotiations when you've just been swept off the ice.
