Hockey is Back

Well, Montreal lost their series with the Rangers last night. So the Stanley Cup will be NY Rangers versus the winner of the Chicago-LA series, which might be determined tonight (the Kings lead the series 3-2 so they could knock Chicago out if they win tonight).

Ahhhh...poopie!

Well, the Blackhawks are still alive with a win last night. Now thw series is tied, 3-3. So the final game will be the tie-breaker. Then they'll finally get around to the Cup!

Nuts. The overtime went to the Kings. So it's the Kings versus the Rangers in the Stanley Cup. I'm rooting for the NY Rangers. I like their uniforms better. Anyway, I have some friends in NY who owe me money. Maybe if their hockey team wins, they'll be happy and pay me. Or maybe not.

My nephew told his little boy, if he scored 5 goals in his game, he would allow him to stay up and watch the game with him. He scored 7 goals and fell asleep before the game.

7 goals! Shoot, I'll bet some teams in the NHL would sign him up now!

Yeah, I'm not sure if he's THAT good or if the other team is THAT bad! LOL! But, he loves playing and that's what's important.

Playing the game (true of any youth sports, in my opinion) is what's important. Too many young folks lose out on lots of fun by spending too much time wrapped in a computer screen!

My nephew said he gives him a quarter for each goal he gets. When they were on their way to the game the other day he said, 'Dad, you won't have to pay me for goals tonight. Tonight, I'll just get them for fun." He'll NEVER make it as a pro with that attitude! LOL!

He might not make it as a pro, but he'll have more fun and retain all his teeth!

Kings are up, 2-0. Last night's game was a farce, though. The Kings got an illegal goal from an uncalled (but obvious) goal tender interference on their 2nd goal. The refs in LA stink and the video proves it.

I guess I'm forced to go with the NY Rangers....LA Kings sound like a street gang.

I'm for the Rangers, but if they don't play better, they are going to be walloped in this series!

Ya might be right! The Rangers took the last game and if they take the one tonight, the series will be even!

You know they always tie series up...the more games played, the more money they all make.

Somebody should have told the Rangers that. Stinkin' LA took it last night, 3-2 in 2 OT's. I'm tellin' ya, Lord Stanley must be rolling in his grave to think the Cup is going to flippin' Los Angeles.

I'll give LA credit for having an excellent team. There's not one member of the team that actually comes from LA, anyway. I get along well enough with the usual LA folk, but the Gollywood types just befuddle me. I saw a German Shepard there once that waltzed into a plastic surgeon's office and came out looking like a French Poodle!

The LA Kings and the SA spurs rule!!!!

I can definately get on board with San Antonio, but the Kings, well, yeah, they won this year. But next year I be looking for the Blackhawks again. Really, as long as it not the Flyers, I don't care.

I liked the Islanders-Oilers dynasties in the 80's.

I remember an Islanders vs. Capitals game from back then that went into a lot of overtimes. I think it was a record at the time. By the end of the game (the Islanders finally scored the winning goal) the players were almost hanging on each other to stand up!
